Born in Great Britain into a family of tradesman, Mike charted his own path by moving to the southwest of France where he specialized in restoring 17th century homes and barns. Mike brought his love of lime plaster and masonry stucco with him to America, and he is now applying these traditional European techniques to Venetian and decorative plastering across the Hudson Valley.

Venetian decorative plasters have a vast array of finishes that you won’t get with paint or faux finishes. Decorative plasters are ultimately a thin veneer of stone and unlike synthetic finishes, plaster is mold and bacteria resistant. It’s easy to clean and will absorb moisture and evaporate off the surface over time.

Lime paint offers similar characteristics to plaster just doesn't carry the same durability. This finish can be applied on plastered walls to give more depth or applied over freshly primed walls as a sole finish.
